This afternoon some of the children were busy making a BIG volcano in the sandbox! They worked together by adding sand with shovels and by filling up buckets with sand and adding it to the “volcano”! They even added a hole for the lava to come out and a path for the lava to flow down. Children are so creative!

Thursday was finally our big dance performance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller! The children have been practing everyday, and have worked so hard! Great job to all of our dancers and a special thanks to Teacher Linette for choreographing such a “thrilling” performance.

Last week, some of our students put on a Hoop Show! They came up with this these tricks all by themselves, throwing the hoops in the air, balancing on beams, and lighting them “on fire!” Look how coordinated and skilled these performers are! 

This week we have been drawing portraits of our favorite stuffed animals from home and in the classroom! The children love noticing the details and colors on their toys and adding them to their drawings. Next week, we are going to add stories to go along with their pictures!

The children have been working hard preparing and practicing for their upcoming school performance to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson! They are getting the moves down and turning into mini Michael Jackson’s as they dance away!

Before spring break, the children were working on dying rock salt. Now we are using the different colored rock salt to create 3D art! It looks like crystals and encourages the children to use their creativity and fine motor skills to make some awesome art.

Today the children and teachers began practicing the dance for our Spring Performance on Thursday, April 26th. They did an amazing job listening to our incredible choreographer: Teacher Linette and quickly picked up on each dance move. The following are just a few pictures of their rehearsal. 

The children were so excited to see their friends and teachers when they returned to school from spring break today! They went right to work and were busy all day long. Some children were busy working togther in the sandbox, others enjoyed that water at the sensory table or created music with a variety of our instruments!
