Utopia Preschool

The life of a preschooler is truly something special. It's a time of freedom, imagination, endless curiosity and a true sense of wonder. They explore, ask questions, and make sense of the world in their own way. In each moment, whether they are building, painting, discovering, or connecting with one another, they stay present. Each child brings something so special into our classroom and we see it in how they express themselves, create, and engage with one another. There is so much to learn from them when we take time to see the world through their eyes. As educators, we feel so gratefu to be part of their days in our Utopia community.💛

This week, we welcomed the children back from spring break and gently returned to our daily routines. It was so nice to see everyone reconnect with their friends and teachers, sharing stories and talking about their spring break adventures. As the week went on, the children settled into the classroom rhythm, engaging in activities they enjoy such as designing cities together in the building area, working at the writing table and using their creativty at the art table. We were also happy to welcome back Geraldine, who visited our classroom, read a book at our morning group time and guided a painting activity. The children loved exploring colors and expressing themselves as they created shimmering, colorful butterflies. It has been a joyful week of coming back and we are so happy to have everyone together!❤️

This week, we came together to celebrate Easter through creativity, connection and joyful play. The children worked together to create Easter decorations adding a festive touch to our classroom. A special thanks to Vanna, Kaya's mom, who joined us to lead a wonderful Easter egg decorating activity. The children loved personalizing their own Easter eggs, which they were able to use to decorate our classroom or take home to share with their families. We are also grateful to all the parents who generously donated Easter eggs, helping make our Easter egg hunt such a fun and memorable eperience. The weather was on our side, allowing the children to fully enjoy their time outside, laughing, and celebrating together. We talked with the children about how it's not a race, but a shared experience encouraging them to work together, be mindful of one another and enjoy the activity as a community.
