Waterplay!

We enjoyed some sunny weather this week with water play outdoors!  Water play is a calming sensory activity where the children can work on scooping and pouring water individually. The activity also encourages the children to work on math skills such as measurement, counting, comparing and contrasting while they experiment with the water and materials.

"I'm an Artist!"

It's important for young children to express their creativity and experiment with color, texture, and different materials. We offer paint as one of the forms of open-ended art in the classroom. Open-ended art has no example for the children to follow, nor is there a wrong or right way for their work to end up. Welcome to Utopia 2024-2025 💛

The beginning of the school year brings out so many emotions, not only for the kids, but teachers and families too. It's the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one, a 'goodbye' and 'hello' all at once. We applaud our Utopia parents for making the big decision to send their child to school, while modeling calm and brave feelings. We applaud the children for exploring a new environment with so many new faces! And we applaud our teachers who want to give the best experience they can for the children, year after year. We still get butterflies as we ready ourselves and the classroom, wondering what this one will be like. After these first few days, we already know that this year is going to be special.  On behalf of all the Utopia staff, we are so honored that families have chosen us to be their child's first experience with school.  Happy School Year!
