Utopia Preschool

Today the children used their imagination and creativity to create their own coffee shops! They used plastic cups and pitchers to serve beverages, and used brown water color, shaving cream and corn starch to create “coffee with cream.” They took turns using the register to take down orders and serve their friends!

This morning the children were excited to mix water color with rice and salt in the sensory bin to make “potions”! They also worked together and discussed different ways to share and use the materials in the bin!

Our Father’s Day celebration was a success! It was so wonderful to see all the dads & children decorating their magnet frames, shrinky dinks and take photos at the photo booth. Thank you for coming and making today a special one. Have a great Father’s Day weekend!

The preschoolers are busy preparing for graduation. They have been working on decorations, songs, and gifts! Can’t believe this year is winding down!

 This afternoon, our friends shared memories from their own camping trips to the group! Matteo shared some photographs from his trip and showed his friends what his tent looked like as well as who went with him! He also showed pictures of his dog and a hammock he got to lay in! Aria brought in walkie-talkies from her weekend camping trip and taught everyone how to use them! Half of the group went outside and spoke to the rest of the group who was using their walkie-talkie inside!

The children love doing water play. Today the children used both water tables outside. One was filled with purple water and the other with green water. The children enjoyed mixing the colors together and making a new color!

In the afternoon, the children have been creating their own campsite! Using blankets and chairs, they have pitched their own tents. They have even drawn out camping signs to hang in their site, and created their own campfires with sticks and the iPad. Today they had a picnic by bringing their actual lunch boxes next to their tent!

As the end of the school year approaches, the children are beginning to work on their decorations for our celebration! This week the children who are going on to kindergarten will be working on their self portraits. It’s so nice to see all of the different images and creations!
