Zoom zoom zoom... We're going to the moon!
The children have spent the last few weeks working on a rocketship to play in! They have accumulated so many skills like drawing up plans, cutting cardboard, tape and problem solving to create this big idea. What fascinates us the most is their ability to share ideas with one another and work together. They all have an understanding of taking turns, doing their part, and making reparis! We are amazed by their creativity and hard work. They first created a smaller rocket as a prototype, then used a large box to make a big rocket to fit in! They made buttons, wings, a steering wheel, windows and a door. When they noticed that it only fit one person, they decided they should create a second rocketship! This ongoing project is not only fun and imaginative, but it provides a way for them to process what they have learned.
