Our Walking Field Trip to the Park

As our last reward for hitting our Fun Run goal, we had a visit to the Tot Lot on Brotherhood Way! It was our first time having a walking field trip together and we made sure to talk about all the ways to be safe as we travelled there. 

On our way to the park, everyone practiced staying in line and with the group. They also practiced waiting at the intersection for the sign to show us the walking image so we knew it was safe to cross the street. Waiting isn't easy, but everyone was very patient together! Once we got to the park, the children were off to explore the grounds. They took turns going down the slide, climbed onto the structures, ran together and made themselves dizzy on the spinning seats! It was a good time and we made it back just before it really started to heat up!
