Group Time!
Group Time is an important part of our day where the children gather together for a song, book, or group activity. As part of our regular routine, it encourages the children to work on several skills like staying in one spot, active listening, taking turns, raising their hand to speak. These are skills that prepares them for kindergarten and their entire academic career.
During Group Time, we go over the days of the week, any important announcements of the day, learn concepts like letters, shapes, and numbers, and highlight the children's work! All of this must be finished within 5-10 minutes, the ideal time for preschool age children before getting too wiggly.
